The firm has built a specialised practice on cross-border dispute resolution, representing foreign companies facing arbitration or litigation proceedings in Panama, or involved in multi-jurisdictional disputes. Approximately 80% of the multi-jurisdictional cases involve working directly with foreign clients or their foreign counsel to create a global strategy to succeed in all jurisdictions involved in the dispute. In the past year the firm has had a significant growth in arbitration cases, most of which involved representing international consortiums or foreign contractors in international commercial arbitration proceedings against the Panamanian government.
